  Q & A for H. Pylori PCR Test

1. Why choose TZAM H. Pylori Multiplex PCR test?

TZAM H. Pylori Multiplex PCR test has the highest sensitivity and specificity compared to other tests. This multiplex PCR assay can amplify 10 DNA fragments at the same time to identify H. pylori. Amplifying more than one DNA region simultaneously increases the sensitivity because the probability of amplifying several selected DNA regions is much higher than the chance of amplifying only one region. Our test is sensitive enough to detect one copy of H. Pylori genome DNA. Amplifying more than one DNA region simultaneously increases the specificity because probing different loci at the same time can more accurately distinguish one pathogen from another.

When the Urease tests or other tests turn out negative, but the patient still has symptoms and there are no other reasons to account for, what you can do? Just go ahead to choose TZAM H. Pylori multiplex PCR for further detection.

2. TZAM H. Pylori Multiplex PCR test is sensitive and able to detect low copies of H. Pylori genome DNA in stomach, but is the detection related to the patient’s symptoms?

In our study, correlation with inflammation scores and comparison with immunohistochemical analysis and CLOtest indicated that PCR-positive gastric biopsy specimens correlated with a higher average cumulative inflammatory score compared with PCR-negative specimens (P=0.01).
