About 11 years ago, Dr Tat-Kin Tsang asked the question: If H. pylori are transmitted by oral-fecal route, why is it more often found in Asians, Mexicans and Africans. Therefore he found a research laboratory to target the area of transmission of H. pylori. His initial emphasis was frustrated by the difficulty in culturing the organisms.
